Absolutely incredible transformation! The Melody Lodge is now a perfect mountain getaway—serene, charming, and beautifully renovated from top to bottom. The new owners have done an amazing job blending modern comfort with rustic charm. Cozy rooms, stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere make it the ideal retreat.
My family has dined here many times, mostly dinner. This is a great place to entertain guests. Meals are hearty and delicious. Service is friendly, experienced and attentive to detail. Rooms upstairs are comfortable but noise from the bar (until closing) can be annoying unless you accept that this is "country", We've never been disappointed. Dinner reservations are advised.
We had my son’s rehearsal dinner at Melody Lodge and everything was spectacular!!! The food was absolutely delicious, Chef William is amazing!!! I wish I could post a picture of the antipasto bar! The service was wonderful, everyone so sweet and accommodating to our large group!!! We cannot thank Elizabeth, Lizzie, and Chef William enough for making our evening so special
First time dining out indoors since covid hit (six months). It was perfect. Couple of beers, cesar salad, bbq ribs, and a slice of carrot cake. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, if not a bit awkward in a sweet way. The patrons at the next table over stopped and chatted with us on their way out. We are definitely not in Brooklyn anymore! We ate on the pub side as the restaurant side requires reservations.
Great service and excellent food! We didn't have reservations but we're able to get a table in the bar room which was fine. Wife really enjoyed the salmon and my steak was cooked just as I requested. I would have preferred a second choice of vegetables as I don't like Brussels sprouts
Melody Lodge is one of the great spots in Speculator. It is a versatile venue. One room has a bar that seems perfect for beers with the boys after a day of watersports in summer or snowmobiling/skiing in winter. The other rooms feel perfect for celebrating an engagement with dinner and champagne. I have never had a negative experience here. One time we had to wait a few minutes for a table, but it was so nice on the couches by the fireplace that I would have happily waited twice as long. This is always a great place for dinner. It is open all year long and it never disappoints. Service is friendly and with a smile and they kinda make you feel like family.
